Q= What is a DWI | DUI?
A= A serious criminal charge. In Minnesota, a DWI (“Driving While Impaired” or “Driving While Intoxicated”) or a DUI (“Driving Under the Influence”), is a serious criminal charge involving the allegation of the use of alcohol and/or a controlled substance (a drug) and the operation or physical control of a motor vehicle.
Some states, including Wisconsin, use OUI ("Operating Under the Influence") or OWI (“Operating While Impaired”) instead of DWI or DUI.
